you should try the stone ability, it makes you invincible.  Plus you can turn into Samus if you transform enough.

Method to make Stone Ability not suck: 
Step 1: Get some ability
Step 2: Create Helper out of said ability
Step 3: Get stone ability
Step 4: Become Invincible and let the Helpper do all the work for you

For best results have a human controlling the helper character
