DOWN AND OUT
« on: August 29, 2006, 11:56:51 pm »
My obsession with the "Internets" always been a problem for me. The Internet is such an amazing series of tubes, filled with all manner of useful, enriching, and entertaining elements. I happen to have a severe weakness for its captivating properties. Sometimes I'll spend hours searching around on 4chan or Ytmnd, or using the Stumbleupon feature in Mozilla. I once found myself on Youtube for almost an entire day. I do have a life, and the Internet, entertaining as it may be, seems only to detract from the other parts of it. I rarely get to spend time with my family or friends, and my schoolwork always gets pushed aside until the last minute. Although I can get things done, my problem with the Internet can only become worse. So, I think I'm going to stop using the Internet entirely. I think I'll be a much happier person.

We all know how addictive those tubes are, because after all, they're not a big truck.  But as much as we might try, leaving entirely can be tough.  Moderation even is probably better than total deprivation.  So while I recognize your plight, and have even left the internets (and the computer) for short periods in the past myself, I have a feeling we'll be seeing you again before too long . . !

As for me, I'm stuck running a website and have bills and emails I have to stay on top of, so I'm forever doomed to clogging these tubes.  SEND HELP.

p.s.  This isn't to say "oh you'll be back", but more along the lines of "we'll leave the light on for ya".

Later Prox. If you ever see this post, I hope you know that I considered you a great friend and a member of the Fybertech family. I'll miss you, man.
Ten years to the minute, no longer in it.

I gotta say that all or nothing is easy, but moderation is hard(I learned that myself!). But I gotta say, if you leave fo/ev, I'll miss your awesomeness. LATER.

That sums up my feelings too. I do you hope you'll see this and know that you'll always have a home here. Even if we're all horrible skeletons. I do hope that you come back at least to Fybertech every once and a while.

Your Friend Mister Mets.
