Title: Planets
Post by: IceTyger on September 28, 2005, 02:54:24 pm
Prox is a goddamn bastard on this game. I somehow forced Fyber to make an alternate universe Planets game just because of this fact.

DISCUSS!

I was wondering why a second version appeared.

I got all heartless and went around destroying everybody, so that they had no cargo and no money to keep playing with. Fyber was originally going to reset the first game, but he decided to make a completely different version.

Well I didn't reset it cause not everybody was a-okay with the idear.  Adding a second one was my way of pussyfooting around the issue . . !

Ok, so what is the onboard printer kit for, and how do talk to a planet? "Prox promised *Planet Name* cookies" or some such nonsense. And how can I own a planet?
Title: Re: Planets
Post by: Prox on September 30, 2005, 04:50:48 pm
If you're launching an attack on a planet, an Onboard Printing Kit will make some of the planet's population destroy a very small amount of fighters, and post 'Prox promised copies of doom 3' or what not in Galaxy News. And finally, you can own a planet once you've destroyed enough of the fighters to make the planet submit to you. Usually they won't submit until 0 fighters are left.

Which begs the question, Prox, why the fuck did you leave that planet with 0 fighters?

ANSWER: Utopia Defense System. Fucking dangerous.

Yeah, I just slap one on and send it on it's way; it works pretty well.

Also, 1000th post!!

You know, if someone were to organize a mass rapage of a planet like that, you know, with like five or six people all sacrificing their Garbage Scows in the name of the greater good, that thing could be beaten like, real easy.

COUNTERPOINT: Nobody but us plays anymore!

Well maybe if the site gets more traffic it will, or maybe you should go try and find a popular BBS board and try and get people to play on the uncluttered server.

HOT TIP TIME:

Take over Tribonia, that place's huge population generates upwards of a million tax dollars a day.

I propose a mass raping of Metallica. I've always wanted to kill that place.

I just figured they'd like a man who takes charge...!

I believe the first time I ever did it, I said 'Because I'll make sweet, sweet love to you.' Then got thrown out because I wouldn't shell out 2000 for a uniform.

Well, nobody really plays Planets anymore, so I reverted to my old ways.

Which means killing everyone in my cartel (Buzzard) and taking over a few more planets. The good thing is, nobody can complain.

What the fuck Prox. You could have asked me before you killed me, besides, I still play. Plx give status in cartel back.

You're so going to not have a planet. Prox and I basically own the galaxy.
Title: Re: Planets
Post by: Prox on December 05, 2005, 08:20:56 pm
Plus, we three are like the only people who play, so asking for cartel joins is pointless. I don't even know why I play this game againymores.

Title: Re: Planets

Numbers only look scary. In reality, a few can take down many with enough power. When an army of thrustmasters attacks, I won't be very afraid.

Hey, the more members the better.
Title: Re: Planets
Post by: Buzzard on December 13, 2005, 10:55:02 pm
The more members the more chances you have to have one of them turn on you, empty your treasuries, steal all your fighters and planets, and leave the cartel. PROX DID IT ONCE.

Title: Re: Planets
Post by: Prox on December 14, 2005, 12:25:33 am
You know, if I hadn't actually had treason on my mind, my actions could've been meant for good purposes.

Because Borz was about to take over Volcana, I removed all the money and fighters from it and left the cartel. This was actually beneficial to the cartel, because Borz didn't capture the money and he didn't destroy the fighters. But, of course, I then left the cartel, not only nullifying those benefits, but making some pretty powerful enemies as well.

And it seems that the animosity from that event has carried over outside of the BBS system! Which, of course, I never desired to happen. I visualised a situation much like the Civil War, where troops from opposing sides played baseball and traded commodities on one day, only to shoot and kill each other the very next day. My point being, of course, that the bitterness which I encouraged would be confined to the BBS.

To all people involved who happen to read this: I fully apologize for my actions. I hope that all hard feelings stirred up by them have settled, and that we can continue on without problem.
