I was looking at a picture of fybers hidden mountain lab earlier and decided to make a little game out of it. The lab isn't as curvy as it is in fybers drawing, but fyber and I both think it looks cool. I hated that I couldn't make any holographic walls as an entrance to the garage (your starting point btw) but besides that everything else is almost exactly the way fyber drew it out. I also put in a laser assault rifle in the command center so you guys can have a little fun :)
You can get the game here http://files.filefront.com//;8029047;;/
Here is Fyber's drawing (http://www.fybertech.com/images/fyberlab.png) so you guys can compare the game to the real thing
This is still a work in progress, so if you guys find anything i've left out or bugs please post them and i'll fix em' up.

I'm getting an error message from the start. Is there something I'm missing?

He made this using that FPS Creator thing, which actually seemed pretty neat when I saw him warking on it/testing it. The game runs in your desktop resolution by default, and since the quality was set to high (it doesn't seem to let you change any of that once you create a standalone game with it), it might just not like your peecee. I downloaded the zip and tried it, and didn't have any prablems.

Same here. I tried configuring the data text file, but still a no-go.
-
What is the error message you guys are getting, anyway?
-
Standard Crash-type error, the type you can (but usually don't) send an error report to Microsoft for.
-
Hay, after Silver got his hardware upgrades today, he went from AMD to Intel, and now he can't run the game anymore either. So I'm curious what you guys run on?
-
I also got the generic Windows error. I tried to get the error information, but it didn't let me copy/paste it, and there was too much stuff to type out.
Also, Intel Pentium Three.

I got that same error you guys did earlier, so I started to fool with it just now and I may have found a fix :) I set the dynamiclighting=1 in the setup.ini to 0 you won't have some of the pretty lighting effects anymore but you can play it atleast.

Still not working.

AMD. Turion 64. Maybe I should download the "fixed" version to test that out.
-
btw is this FPSC a commerial program?
I have an old comp, it's Vectra Hewlett-Packard, running windows XP.
-
I rebuilt the game with lower lighting and shader settings and removed the laser rifle from the control room.
I uploaded the new version here http://files.filefront.com//;8047027;;/
Oh, and yes it is a commercial program but I got the demo from here http://www.fpscreator.com/

Thanks for the effort; however the game still does not work for me.

I don't know what's wrong with the game, i've tried everything I can think of. I was kinda looking forward to making it multiplayer game if it had worked for everybody, but I think i'm gonna call it quits for now until they come out with some fixes for all the bugs fpscreator has.
-
Oh wells, it looks cool. What kind of bugs does it have?
Also w00t 1,000th post. :D

It just gives some generic error message, and I don't know what the problem could be because it doesn't tell what the problem is in the message. I've also looked on fps creators forums a few days ago to see if there is a fix, and there are tons of people complaining about all kinds of bugs. I looked through almost every page (and that were ALOT of pages) but didn't find anything related to the problems the guys are having here.
