Title: Pokesex.
Post by: Armchair on October 08, 2006, 01:01:06 am
I mean.... Shit.

Deck gave me the idea of a small bit of fan fiction, basically you create your own gym leader. Write a short bio and junk. You know? I'll get around to mine when people start voting on the tourney.

Will there be slash fiction?

EDIT: Wait... WHY IS THE TITLE OF THIS TOPIC "POKESEX?"

I sorta see it as the Fybertech pokemon league, when you put it the way you did.

Anyway, I'm thinking a fire gym with some kind of intellectual twist. I'll figure it out more later.

Well, nothing to lose but my dignity, and that went out the window years ago...

Mage is a Dark-type Trainer. Not even one of those "Darkness is misunderstood" Dark-type trainers. He's psychotic. His solitary nature and tortured past have left a deep-seated anger in his soul and a large amount of angst that has lasted well past his teen years. Though he is more than a little unbalanced, he has a good heart beneath all that pain.

His gym is as foreboding as it is stereotypical, sporting an imposing keep and a stadium that best resembles an old-fashioned dungeon(complete with a few fake skeletons tossed around for good measure). His actual living space isn't quite as macabre, but few ever get to see that. Mostly they see the grand entrance hall, which would make Bram Stoker(not to mention Vlad the Impaler himself) rather proud.

His pokemon are often his only friends. Though they like to cause a fair bit of mischief, they're about as truly evil as their Trainer. Mage's battle style is brutal, but effective, often relying on skills that are a little off-element(though he does know a few fun dark-type tricks). His signature move is called Mind Breaker, and is basically a Dark-type version of Psychic(Power 90, AC 100, PP 10, 25% chance of lowering Sp. DEF 1 level). His favorite pokemon, if you had to twist his arm on it, is his Murkrow. He's not fun to cross, but he fights fair and hates those who don't. He's deeply loyal to those he trusts, and will defend them at all personal costs.

Physically, Mage is of an average height and slightly heavy build, with a face you'd soon forget and really dark brown hair. He typically dresses in a rebel-biker style, with blue-jeans, T-shirts, and a simple black jacket in cold weather. His boots are steel-toed, and he wears thick, squarish, silver-rimmed glasses. Although he often feels he's alone, when things are really at their worst there are a lot who would stand behind him.

Hope you managed to get through all that. I tried to keep it brief.

Name: Unknown.
Alias: Gym Leader Armature
Badge: Iron Cross Badge
Gym type: All the trainers use earth type pokemon, steel, ground, rock.

Line-up: Dragonite, Nidoking, Primeape, Kabutos, Electabuzz, and Wobuffet.

Physical: Gym Leader Armature dresses up like Armature in the Snipe and Fybertech continuities, but lacks the cyborg enhancements.

Mental: Armature is prone to gloating a bit and acts up when the tide changes in a battle. All-in-all Armature is a jovial person and a great friend of the other gym leaders.

History: He started out like most kids, wanting to beat the elite four and become champion. However, his family was somewhat poor so he couldn't even afford a pokemon ball to try and catch one on his own. One day he was walking home from school and decided to take a shortcut through the forest, which was a fairly bad idea. Soon he was lost, so he decided sit down on a log and have some lunch not knowing he was being watched. As soon as he he sat down and pulled out his lunch a Mankey jumped him, taking his food and hat. Armature chased the little thing for three hours before giving up, sitting down, and comenced to cry. Feeling bad, the Mankey went to return the stolen items, but it was all a ploy and Armature pounded the Mankey into submission and started his pokemon career.

From there he went on to battle for money and added pokemon after pokemon to his roster. Soon he cleared out the gyms of their badges and made many friends, most of them current leaders. This did not help him beat the elite four however, so he did the next best thing. He started up a gym in the town he grew up in (which is fairly near the Elite Four's hideout) and is there to this day.

Lol @ blather. We should do an RP or something with this.

Gym Leader Gospel
Twilight Badge
Gym type: Psychic and Ghost.

Pokemon: Alakazam, Gengar, Gardevior, Misdreavus, Espeon, Sableye.

Gospel was able to see ghosts at a young age and was haunted by their images growing up.  He later learned his sixth sense was from a latent physic power and now works in improving his skills by training at the gym.  He later soon surpassed everyone and took the mantle of gym leader.  Gospel is usually calm and shows no emotion or facial changes as if he is lost in thought at times.  He prefers to observe situations then to take part of them.  But when he does act it is with knowledge of how to control and manipulate events.  Apparently he is trying to control events to prevent some sort of catastrophic event that certainly doesn’t happen every game generation from happening, I mean stop a catastrophic event from happening.   He wears a black vestment with crimson trimming and dark hat and dark hat on top of his dark purple hair which comes down and covers half his face.

Since I thought it would be fun, I made badge designs for the 3 gyms we made up here.

Heh.  Those are nice badges, but the middle one looks more like "RedCross" than "IronCross" as far as shape.  If Arma likes it, it's up to him, but If he meant "IronCross", here's how it should look.

Kinda, any way...maybie you could do better.  Either way, it's cool.  The Twilight Badge is great, by the way.

Lol forgot comment on badge. Sorry.

Great work, both of you. Maybe a silver steelish color for the 1st cross?

Now that I see what it looks like, black is better. I'm also going to stick with Mage's design.

For those of you from Google that are coming to Fybertech from this thread. Sorry. We don't actually have any Pokesex. But we enjoy your visits greatly.

Yeah, just make sure you don't check the basement, because we definately don't have any pokemon there.
