Hazard Labs was home to the initial concept of Fybertech, with FyberOptic using a subdomain of the site to host personal projects, until he decided to acquire a domain of his own. Fybertech.com was registered on September 2nd, 2004. Webhosting was provided by Fuitad, since that was the company which also hosted Hazard Labs at the time, where FyberOptic was "employed". Fybertech remained a small website, mostly for FyberOptic's personal projects, and included a forum, which was used on a couple of occasions by various Hazard Labbers when Fuitad's incompetence rendered their site inoperable for any extended period. It was also used for testing software being created for Hazard Labs, at one point running a modified version of OMNICORE named FyberNET.

Despite numerous problems with the web host, they were used for nearly a year, until FyberOptic's discovery of Linode. Unable to resist the idea of running his own server, he decided to make the move in June of 2005. The transition started with the registration of Fybertech.net, which took place on June 14th. This domain became the testbed for the configuration of the server, which proved to be a challenge and a learning experience, providing FyberOptic with valuable skills in server management, which he would later put to use when Hazard Labs eventually transitioned to a Linode as well.

Upon the successful implementation of a web/email/dns server, Fybertech.com was then moved onto the Linode, which meant finally being free of Fuitad. The Hazard Labs chat room was soon added as well, where it remained until THAT AWFUL DAY. Today, Fybertech lives on on the Linode, with no plans in the foreseeable future to switch hosting companies.
