HEAT

H.E.A.T. is an acronym for Holographic Energy Appropriation Tool. It was created primarily as a defensive tool and weapon for the military of on planet Zentax, although models of lesser power are available for construction and civilian use. The device fits onto the user's left forearm, allowing for use of the display and keypad for data manipulation and device configuration.

A military-class HEAT is capable of projecting a hard-light holographic armor around its user, capable of stopping continuous small arms or low-powered energy-based weaponry for a short time. However, any direct concussive force received beyond a continuous five second period is at the user's own risk.

Offensively, the HEAT has the ability to emit bursts of super-heated energy, adjustable from crowd-control to light-armor piercing. A three-second recharge period is recommended; if firing continues before capacitance is regained, user's armor projection may suffer fluctuations.
