I would like to add that the first 30 minutes of 2007 as I experienced them were spent in Half Life 2 taking pictures of a TV with the G-man on it before the TV exploded. A fine 30 minutes they were.

My brother's first words of the new year were "damnit, Mario!" Then I watched fireworks go off over the Undercity.

I was first to curse in th new year in this house... 35 seconds or so in I bit my tongue eating midnight tacos and swore loudly "FUCKER!"

I think the first thing I said in 2007 was either "IT'S 2007!!", or quite possibly "WOOOOO" if that's even a word.
