Title: World of Warcraft log
Post by: Boris on February 17, 2005, 12:47:33 am
After a discussion with fyber, I have decided to log the life of a character of mine in World of Warcraft. For entertainment value, you know. This topic will the that adventure. But first, I present to you the esential equiptment of an Orc.

Notice arrow one: this points to his belt. The belt is the most important part of your standard Orc's equipment, for it holds up:
arrow two: this points to the cloth held up by the belt.

These are the only two pieces of equipment needed by your standard orc warrior. the shoulders and axe, while cool are not really REQUIRED.

Ok so. The story of this characters life:
Sinshava is a troll hunter female. She is the only character of mine on a PVP server, wherein other characters can hillariously sneak up kill me once I'm in a non-newbie zone. I'll take some fun screencaps when I get to that point. For now I only have a few interesting ones.

Here I am starting life. I am killing small animals like you start most MMoRPG's. Notice I start with a bow. Horde gets bows intially because they are supposed to be the less technilogical side. I made a note to fix this asap.

Here I am next to a dude who drank something wierd and grew like 20 feet. I need a shot of that stuff because....

The whole canyon worth of harpies is coming after me.

Here I have finally replaced my bow with a gun. (They do the same damage, but I am technological and cool.) The gun is good enough that I can finally kill those stupid harpies, but I have to get better at aiming it by practiceing for this moment.

My smoking gun and I are triumphant!

Our final life lesson for the day is that all the good guild names have been taken. I didn't check Fybertech though...

Well, my character, what he does, what he has done, what he will do, and what he will always do till the end of time can be summed up in this picture. I title it this.

"It seemed like a good idea at the time."

My guy's name is Billions, but that's not important right now. What is important is that I have this little problem... I like mining. I like mining way too much. If I see copper, I must mine copper. If I see tin, I let out a primal scream and tear after it like I had the entire freaking horde after me and mine the fuck out of it. If I see silver, well... I blacked out once, and when I came too I had fifty silver contacts in my pants.

Also, I like to make fun of people as evidenced by this evidence!

I'd say so. It's a great game, worth the money in my opinion.Though I really don't get to play much anymore, what with school and all. Anybody actually ever gotten into a BG? If so, are they worth all that hype?

If theyd just lower the price to maybe thirty dollars a box id decide to get it. The fifteen a month on top of that isn't convincing me to purchase a copy. The game looks damn good, then again I still have to play city of heroes.

I can't ever find a WoW topic to post in when I find stuffs, but I guess this one is as good as any.

Info on upcoming patches (http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3147617)

I recommend watching the videos which show off the new weather feature.  It looks perdy.  But when asked whether it would hinder performance, the Blizzard guy says:

"World of Warcraft is not terribly demanding on today's systems."

So I knew right away he probably had no idea what he was talking about . . !  Plus, he didn't respond to what the guy asking the questions said about horrible slowdown in IF.

In any case, future patches might warrant resubscribing for a month, just to watch it snow if nothing else~~~~

Weapon: Whirldwomd Axe (blue quality 2h axe)
Mount: Raptor
Agenda: First im gonna eat those gnomes with some steak, then burn Stormwind like the Horde did in Warcraft 1, then kill all Night Elves.
Famous quote: If I see ONE MORE GNOME, Im gonna kick something!

The forum doesn't support the TGA files.  You'll need to convert it to something like jpg or png, which is much smaller anyway.

There isn't any more simple way to put it. Save it as a jpg or png or gif.

My Brother and I have been playing all to hell and I have my first guy who can fly in northrend finally.

Katanua the Draenei paladin decided to celebrate by flying up to the hugest tower in Dalaran and peeing on Horde guys taking a picture.

Also there is one with my brother for reference. He is a Death Knight, which is why his Gryphon seems a little boney.

Man those Northrend graphics sure are improved.  Just seeing the quality of the town from that high up makes my computer cry a little.

I seem to look a touch more stripperific lately...
(I guess it kind of works since I'm the fury type berserking barbarian warrior, but still, it doesn't seem it would be that effective at being plate mail~)

I'm using the same shoulders as what was in the previous Boris screenshots, but suddenly today the model turned into something more awesome for some reason.

Well I wanted a picture of me harpoon surfing, but apperently you dissapere if you try to take a screenshot of it. Several failed pics later, I figured I'll just show you the damn harpoon looking awesome in front of scenery.

Also, it looks like I'm wearing platemail again at least. I need to get matching boots now though.

I think the murloc costume warrants at least one more shot.  Also, this guy has no pants, so it totally belongs here.
