Anyone seen tthe news about this? Apparently he was doing a documentary under water, he got to the bottom where a sting ray was hiding under the sand. He was stung straigt to his heart, there was no way he could have lived. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
-
Here, this (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14663786/) might help.
-
Yeah, we arn't 4chan, so when we make topics about people dyin' we're serious. A quick search of CNN or your news outlet of choice will turn this one up.
-
It's about time, is all I have to say.
-
Well arn't you cheery. I understand what you're getting at, the man took on dangerous animals constantly for a living, such a thing was bound to happen. Still, show some class.
-
It's about time, is all I have to say.
STFU Sean.
-
I may have not liked the guy too much, but yeah, I'll not say anything bad about him, he was good at what he did and he knew his stuff.
-
Whether folks liked him or not, he still did countless things to help teach about preservation of nature and aminals, so HAT'S OFF TO YOU, STEVE.
..WHO TOOK MY HAT?
-
Rest well little buddy. You lived your life on the brink. Nothing held you back. Falling off a cliff? No problem. You had no regrets and travelled the world. You were the ONLY treehugger i enjoyed listening to about the environment. Im sure everyone found this to be true. Why must you leave so early Little crazy australian buddy. I had hoped to see you one day, maybe get an autograph, but now i see that's not possible. May god be with you soul.
God bless you Steve Irwin (damnit why am I crying)

I will dearly miss him. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have wanted to go any other way either. Doing what he did and all.
*saLUEtes*
-
The saddest part is that he leaves on a wife/kid.
At any chance, at least name an charity after him, he did some crazy stuff, but it was all worth it. Later Croc Hunter.
-
There's talk of them giving him a state funeral in Australia, which is the big times.
-
Man, I used to watch that show all the time. He may have been a bit crazy in the head, but he was a good man. Rock on man, rock on.
-
I don't know what to say....I'll just leave it at he died doing what he wanted to do. :(
-
:'(
-
We'll miss you. :'(
And did anyone happen to capture that stingray? He;s wanted for murder. >:(
-
Naw, but they have video evidence against him
But seriously, what the hell, why couldn't that stingray have taken tom cruise. Nobody likes him. Everyone likes steve irwin.
-
Because he has people pamper him and he dosen't take risks?
And yeah, I will miss him. Also, now I'll never go scuba diving without some kind of armour on my torso.
-
Hey now, I still like Tom Cruise, he's given me so much material to work with now. I'd rather that stingray had taken out
the president and his staff.
This message has been edited for content by the Office of Homeland Security. We're watching you.

Don't you live in Canada these days?
-
BlueJay lives in Canada?
-
Not yet, I'm still in Ahmareikuh for now, probably will be till about 2009
-
Apparently the whole thing was caught on tape after all, but we're not likely to ever see it. According to this story though, he was conscious immediately afterwards long enough to pull the barb out.

Jay Leno's funny tribute (http://flixya.com/jay-leno-tribute-to-crocodile-hunter). I hadn't seem some of those clips.
A video thing of his life and times (http://graphics.news.com.au/multimedia/mediaplayer/060904_steveIrwin/).
DO A BARREL DEATH ROLL (http://youtube.com/watch?v=6HgHhHNC92M).
A possibly inaccurate story which says they'll show his death on teevee in accordance to "his wishes". (http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news_detail.html?sku=384)
Irwin's family will probably reject a state funeral, since he was "just an ordinary bloke" (http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,20867,20363543-601,00.html).

Sad :'( I Miss You Steve Irwin
-
I'm not sad. I watched him from time to time when he was on. I feel sympathy for his wife and kid and that's about it. If your going to live like an idiot your going to die from the idiocy.
-
shut up ecto, no one wants to here you saying things like that. hes done countless things for people and animals. Show a little respect!
-
Well he does have a point, (even if it was callously made) Though it was a pure accident that killed him, living a life like his where one takes many MANY, risks, one exponentially increases thier chances of death.
-
Thanks Bluejay. Everyones entitled to their opinion Rythm. The little guy in my avatar is smiling for a reason.
-
The "idiocy" of his actions are all based on perception. While all of us would be afraid of dangerous animals like crocs, he grew up around the things, since his father ran an animal park type place, so he had less fear of such animals, but at the same time had more respect for their capabilities and knowledge enough to know when to do what. Anyone else woulda been dead thirty years ago already. And notice it wasn't even outrageous behavior that got him killed; just a normally docile creature which apparently got spooked.
-
hurt Heart steve irwins
-
True, Steve had tremendous knowledge of the animals he dealt with, and knew their capabilities. All that happened was that unfortunately a, like fyber said, normally docile and gentle creature got spooked using a normally injuring, but not deadly means of defense, and hit the enemies weak spot for massive enemy damage. As funny as that sounds, it's true.

http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/asiapcf/09/12/irwin.stingrays.ap/index.html
I'm pretty sure Steve would have never wanted folks killing stingrays for killing him. Even the one that did the deed.
-
Ya, that is too bad. I mean Steve would want people to respect stingrays space more with that accident, not kill them!
-
stingray kill attacks heart hurt Steve
