Anyone know how to convert windowes media files to quictime or ipod format?
-
Despite me starting to explain to you the much more complicated way of converting stuff manually using AVIsyth, I found this here tool which does it all automatically! It's called Videora (http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/). Or you can just go straight to the download page (http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/download.php).
During install, it'll ask if you want to load it on startup. I'm not sure why anyone would, so I unchecked that. But anyhoo, once you got it runnin, you should prolly go to the Setup section first, and in the Settings tab, change the "Output Videos To" directory so you'll know where the heck it put it.
To actually convert, just go to the convert section, and you should be able to pick "One-click Transcode" to pick the file to convert, and it'll do the rest. If for whatever reason you want to adjust the bitrate and such, use the normal "Transcode New Video" button.
Andddd, that oughta do it.

I was making a joke. That doesn't actually work.
-
Then its not a joke. It's something...diffrent what should we call it..hmmm.
-
We'll call it a "joke".
-
But its a joke that didn't work so tenicl its not a joke I quess its a broken joke then.
-
No, the joke works, changing the file extention dosn't. Of course, I'm going to try it anyway, to make sure, since you can change the extention of a .gif to .png and it'll still work, because it's opened by the same program...

FYBAR FACT: You can append a ZIP or RAR to the end of like a GIF file, and the image will still usually display properly. Then you open the image file in WinRAR, and see the contents of the zip file, as well. You can't open it in Winzip though, it barfs on the image part of the file. Tons of such things probably pass through 4chan every day.
