Title: Checkmate
Post by: FyberOptic on January 05, 2005, 01:38:06 pm
Some screenshots from the ill-fated Hazard Labs chess game I once started.  Perhaps some day it will get finished.

LOLL WHO AM I KIDDIN.

This was done in DirectX8 with C++.  The 3d models were made by me as well!1  Each piece type was supposed to have a different Haz Labber on it, I believe, but I just used Hazard for them all since I had already fixed his image for applying to the pieces.

Also, the reason there's a blue square on the screenshots is because it tracked where your mouse cursor was, and changed the board square color accordingly.  I almost died trying to figure out how to convert 2d screen coordinates into virtual 3d ones.
