Super Mario World and Super Mario 64 are the two best Mario games of all time.

Mario 64 is tons of good fun.  Though I have the fondest memories of Super Mario Bros 3.  Generally I love the whole series, except those Mario Party games, I got tired of them after the second one.

It was one of those learning games from way back when.  They made a couple different ones I believe.

Mario is Missing! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_is_Missing!)

Mario's Time Machine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario's_Time_Machine)

King Hippo? He's not that tough. Just wait for him to open that big mouth of his, counterpunch him there, and pound on that big belly of his until he can recover his guard, usually after nine hits if you unload on him quickly. Better yet, you only need to drop him once. He won't get up before 10.

Still, I knew the trick to beat him, and it was the timing that threw me off.  Oh well.
