Title: Favorite Video Game Music
Post by: DracoLord Haven X on December 14, 2005, 01:40:42 am
Well, there's a favorite songs topic, but then I thought that the music from video games aren't really songs. So, shoot, just name memorable tunes from games.

I'm listening to junk from Arcanum, mainly the regular village music and the Qintara music, both of which are very, very soothing.

I'd say my top favorite video game songs are the ending boss from final fantasy X, super mario bros. Level one, the symphony of the night soundtrack and the music from mega man 2.

Stuff in DDR

Quick Man stage
Flash Man
Boomer Kuwanger
Sephiroth's theme
SSBM Orchestral
That's all I can think of for now.

All popular games aside, I liked the music to Jim Power: The Lost Dimension on SNES.  It was one o them games that used 3d glasses to give it some weird visual effect, even though the game itself wasn't very good.

The music from MM6 is really catchy, actually. Dive Man's stage too.
Battletoads music
Banjo Kazooie Jinjo song
Anything from Super Mario Bros. 1
Chrono Trigger music

Hmm I don't think I've found a game with music I ever hate, but my favorites are:

Any classic MM game
The opening theme for MMBN 1 and 2 and Transmission
Dragon Warrior Music particularly the song for when trouble is going on (let it play long enough and they go into this crazy drum solo where the guy hits just about every thing)
Super Mario Bros
PokeMon Gym Battle theme
Lots of other songs

Mine was hard to track down. It is the theme that the Japanese used for the beta testing on Metroid Prime http://www.metroid-eu.com/alternate_theme_mp.htm *<-----you have to download it* (it's cooler thatn the original http://www.metroid-eu.com/metroidprime.htm When you get there, click the play button)
