Now and Forever by Richard Marx.  It has a history with me. It was the only thing that could get me to sleep when my parents split up and I was so nervous, I had insomnia for about 3 months.

I love lots of classic rock and golden oldies, but probably my most favoritest song is "Carry on My Wayward Son" by Kansas I think it is.

I love lots of classic rock and golden oldies, but probably my most favoritest song is "Carry on My Wayward Son" by Kansas I think it is.

I think the first time I ever really heard that song was when my older brother's high school group performed it during a show, and I thought it sounded perdy catchy.  Yet at the time I'm not sure if I realized whether it was something they wrote for the show or not.  loll.

I think a song I like at the moment is Madonna's "Hung Up".  I was repairing the aspect ratio of the music video for my brother, and having listened to it a few times during that, I came to like it perdy well.  As for a favorite overall song, that's hard to come up with, cause I'd be listing lots of songs for different reasons!

Just about anything the Blues Brothers sing, most Michael Jackson songs from the 80s when he was black, and a lot of the jazz stuff from OC remix.

On the subject of rap. I don't much like gangsta rap or any real current rap tahts mostly rather vulgor and mostly strokes the egos of the rappers. Some of the fun more light hearted rap of the 80s ain't too bad, but in most cases I never liked it much. Its got no soul or funk.

As far as rap goes, much like Vito said, I can listen to the more light-hearted stuff, such as Will Smith, but no busting caps or snoking drug songs for me.  Some rap songs these days don't even say anything, they're just a bunch of words and/or phrases that kind of rhyme.  BREAK IT DOWN FOR ME, WILL.  As for country, I can listen to some of that.  Some I like perdy well, but not if it's corny or depressing.  I perdy much can listen to stuff out of most genres.

I can't really narrow it down to one, since depending on my mood my favorite changes. The top two have got to be the cover of Rainbow Connection by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, and Motley Crue's 'Kickstart my Heart', though.

Not all of their music is rock, though, so I can't say I totally love all of it.  I mean I'd listen to those songs too I guess, but like in the background or something.

lol Eminem was the poster boy for "tough guys" and went around like he would never sell out like everyone else.  He was too cool for that, you know.  But then as soon as he got enough attention and offers, he didn't hesitate to sell out after all.  Now he's a nobody, in a sea of has-been rap artists~~~
