Title: Power Rangers Mystic Force

So I found out the name of the new Power Rangers series we'll get in January or February.  It's based on the Japanese series Magiranger, and I had no idea what they were gonna call it, but I guess appropriately enough it'll be titled Mystic Force.  I think we've had one too many series with the word "Force" in the title but whatcha gonna do.

Anyways, this is supposedly a theme song that they scrapped (http://www.fybertech.com/media/mysticforce_0001.wmv), played along with scenes from the show so people could get a feel of what it'd be like.  I can't say I like the song, and hope they go in an entirely new direction.  But I figured some folks might be interested.

Magiranger itself though is a fine series.  Originally I thought a series based on magic would be totally stupid, but as I watched more and more of it, I started to like it as much if not more so than Dekaranger (S.P.D. here).  I might post some screenshots from it if anyone is curious.  I've got up through episode 31 (out of 50 I assume) so far.  GOOD STUFF.  Whether the American equivalent will be good, only time will tell~

Dude, SPD is the shit. It's got some of the coolest giant robot Cg effects I've ever seen in the power ranger series. It also seems to be not so formulative as some of the past ranger series. I also like the SPD for having a but load of rangers and those rangers looking fairly cool. The new Mystic force looks intreresting. I've talked with Fyber about it before and I'm wondering how they'll change the whole 5 brotehrs and sister things because in the American version they need at least 1 minority ranger. The capes and helmet designs look kind of cool. In regards to the song it was a toe tapper, but not as rocking as the SPD Intro.

I was kind of dissapointed with our version of S.P.D. Fyber when you can id like to those mystic force screenshots.

I haven't really watched much of SPD, but I don't really like the Power Rangers where they belong to some kinda police force.  Gimme the good 'ol Might Morphin'or Turbo or Zeo or In Space and I'm happy.  Though I did like Dino Thunder.  Maybe I'll watch this one, sounds like a good premise.

I must admit I am lacking in my Ranger knowledge, last one I caught even a glimpse of was Time force I do believe.  I was upset there wasn't constant time travel.  Anywho I don't get much chance to see dem powerfull ranger types no more.  I'm usually a workin on saturday morning.

Yeah I've seen those.  Wolzard there on the left in purple is one of the coolest bad guys.  I've watched over half of the Magiranger series (which is what Mystic Force will be based on), so I have a pretty good idea how the story will go, unless they totally redo most of it.  They've done that in the past, but SPD was pretty close to Dekaranger, so perhaps they'll try to follow along again this time.

Well there's character differences and minor story differences, but they kept the actual space police theme, locations, and general "plot".  Magiranger is supposed to be a group of siblings who lose their mother, but obviously that won't be how it goes here.  So it's hard to say how close they'll try to stick to the original plot for that one.

Then again they might totally surprise everyone and actually include the losing the mother thing, who knows!

Maybe she adopted a bunch of kids. So they can have their token minorities. Who knows, I just hope these magiranger torrents dowload faster so I can sees the sentai and then compare it to the American version.

Intro 1 (http://www.fybertech.com/media/prmf_themesong.mp3) totally sounds almost like Outkast.  As far as rap goes, it's not even that bad an intro.

Intro 2 (http://www.fybertech.com/media/mysticforce.mp3) is supposedly the "final" one.  Tis a shame it's in awful quality.  It's not a bad version either, and is done by Aaron Waters, the guy who did all the original music, and more recently, the theme to SPD.

Both of these are 10x better than that crap song in the video of the first post in this topic, at least!
