Anyone know anything else about this new Mario game? I think it looks perdy awesome. Hopefully they'll drop the price on the DS soon, so that mabbe I can try to sell some junks and afford one.
-
Yeah, it bagged a some E3 talk. It's like an old school 2D Mario PLatformer but it'll use both screens. Its supposed to be very good. Most people taht played teh demo at E3 said it was the best handheld game there, by them I mean Gabe at Penny arcade and X-play.
-
We really need a new 2d mario game. It's been a long time since we had a new one, that I can remember. Wasn't Super Mario World technically the last one? SMW2 doesn't really count since it was about Yoshi.
-
I think Fyber's right!
-
yep he's absolutly right, infact one of this game's aspects nintendo is making a point to make sure everyone knows is that this is the first original sidescrolling mario since SMW.
I can't wait to get to being Fire Mario and all those oldschool powers mario ditched when he went to the third dimension.
-
C-can I jump on a flag pole?
-
Alright but only this one time.
I want to see a 3-D mario game that encompases all the levels of every super mario bros. game from the orriginal right on down to SMW. Each level is a world from the games, like, levle 1 would be world 1-1 - 1-4 and so forth. also the powers are kept through each one, seeing as now it would be in 3-D the layouts of the worlds are already basically pre-determined, just add some o dat 3rd dimension.
I figure the opening would have Mario as his good ol 8-bit self and the typical side scrolling view, then it starts to pan, mario "evolves" as it goes until your camera angle is behind him and he looks all Mario 64-ish.
I mean.. imagint the hammer suit in 3-D... being able to take the boot anywhere in 3-D, having the P-Wing and being able to fly everywhere in a world. it would be great.
-
That would be so awsome, but would Nintendo ever really give us something so cool? I guess only time will tell.
-
We can hope.

You can so totally slide down flagpoles.
-
*slides all day, never beats game*
-
yeah ut now they gotta make a mario game for the micro.
-
The micro is just a small version of the GBA, you know. It can't even play classic GB/GBC cartridges.
-
the smaller the better, but yeah, i miss those old mario games
-
Micro is way to tiny for my likes. The screen is so small I just can't imagine being able to play games on it for long times.
-
True, but the bigger the screen the more expensive the system gets.
-
It's supposed to have a lot nicer looking screen, despite being smaller, but I'd want to see that for myself. It's cool that you could stuff it right down in your pocket, but I always say that they'll be hard pressed to ever come up with a design as slick as the GBA SP.
-
Eh, I'm seeing this as another Gameboy pocket. Which is good, except that with my massive hands, the speaker gets covered by my hand.
-
The gameboy micro looks bigger than the gameboy sp.

LOLZ
-
Even I think the GB Micro is too small. And I never complain about hand held screens. Hell I used to have one of those LCD nintento watches... damn I miss that thing.
-
I had one. It's probobly burried in the garage somwhere.
-
I want one of those. ZELDA IN THE MIDDLE OF CLASS ALL THE WAY.
-
Make sure you have one with a volume, those beeps can carry for miles.
-
it always went off in class too, wether you set an alarm or not it was like "PLAY WITH ME!!"
-
I've got the Mario one of those watches. I think they Called Super Mario World 3. It was so hard and so much fun. And with the way nintendo's been bringing back old games you know these are on the list.
I can just see it now: Super Mario Advance 5 Super Mario World 3 Super LCD Watch Adventure Including Mario Bros. Arcade Game. Officially winning the award for longest title ever.
-
lol I used to buy those game watches. I had like Double Dragon and Zelda, and I forgot which other ones. The bands kept breaking on'em though, because instead of using pins, they used this sliding method so that you could take the band off and hold the main part like a tiny game. So the connector edge on the watch piece which the band slid into would eventually break on just about all of'em. It was kind of silly to make'em that way anyways, because you could still hold it in your hands to play with the band still on it just the same.

i think they....nevermind..
